Ultra-thin Glass for Diaphragm: Sonarion™
Delivering clear sound across a wide frequency range
Sonarion™ is an ultra-thin glass, suitable for diaphragm. Its thinness, light weight and high rigidity allow fast sound propagation. Its high internal loss reproduces sound clearly, and it can withstand large vibration displacements during bass sounds.
Features
-
Thin, lightweight and highly rigid
Clear sound is realized due to its high sound propagation speed and reduced occurrence of partial vibration. -
High internal loss
Compared to metal, unnecessary inherent sounds are reduced, allowing for clear reproduction of sound contours. -
High mechanical strength
High mechanical strength allows for withstanding large vibration displacements during bass sounds. -
Excellent durability
Outstanding resistance to water and heat. -
Less susceptible to moisture
Unlike conventional materials such as paper and resin, it is less affected by moisture, allowing for stable sound quality.
Specifications
GAIT (Glass Acoustic Innovations Co., Ltd.) in Taiwan is utilizing cutting-edge technology to develop speaker components— glass diaphragms made from Sonarion™. These diaphragms offer wider frequency range, such as 60kHz. The high-quality glass material is leveraged to deliver precise sound reproduction.
